Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association Announces the Redesign of www.steamboatchamber.com and www.steamboatsummer.com

 SSCRA to partner with RTP Internet Solutions on new design

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO – Internet users will experience a new virtual representation of Steamboat Springs this spring with the redesign of STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO – Internet users will experience a new virtual representation of Steamboat Springs this spring with the redesign of STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO – Internet users will experience a new virtual representation of Steamboat Springs this spring with the redesign of www.steamboatchamber.comand www.steamboatsummer.com. The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association has named RTP|Internet Solutions, an award winning web development and design firm based in Avon, Colorado, to redesign both websites.  Planning for the new design is underway and the launch date is set for March 1, 2005.

“Both our organizations are committed to making the web as functional and easy to use for both end users and administrators,” said Sandy Evans Hall, executive vice president of the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association. “We chose RTP because they have a high standard of brainstorming, researching and devising new solutions to help their clients to meet their goals and objectives on time and on budget.” 

The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association intends to ensure that its Internet presence attracts, converts and retains customers. This redesign will improve both sites’ functionality, navigation structure and usability creating a user-centered solution that is cost effective, results-driven and highly effective.  RTP's proprietary content management tool and an easy-to-use interface will allow SSCRA to manage and grow its online presence without adding additional technically trained staff.

The redesign will:

• Create a truly interactive web experience
• Feature an improved information architecture
• Be more usable and improve user experience to keep Internet visitors coming back
• Maintain strong brand identity
• Enhance guest experience to the web site with improved integration, look and feel

“Since the last web site update, there have been significant technological advances as well as user expectations,” said Evans Hall. “We recognized that for our web visitors and for our members it was time to upgrade the site, improve functionality and enhance the web structure.”

Among the new features will be:

• RTP’s proprietary content management tool that allows staff to make admin updates to areas such as membership, media, photo gallery, calendar and special events.
• A weather tool with improved weather data including historic data
• Interactive maps for downtown and mountain areas
• Permission-based email programming
• A new look that will integrate web and print collateral
